Mission

1000 Gretas’ Mission is to identify and help innovators pursue sustainability solutions with the goal of surfacing those likely to have the greatest impact. 1000 Gretas will give young bright people passionate about solving global climate change a platform for their ideas via funding, tools, contacts, and know-how. The organization has a multi-tier model to help vet those ideas to achieve escape velocity and feed into incubators. The model will help identify, educate, fund, and assist the next generation of climate change entrepreneurs(Hackers, tinkerers, investors, and scientists.)

About Our Name
While we draw inspiration from Greta's dedication and passion for climate action, it's important to clarify that 1000 Gretas is not directly affiliated with Greta Thunberg, nor do we necessarily align with all of her viewpoints. Greta is included in our name as the ideal of a young person carrying a torch and leading, in their own way, in the fight against climate change. Recognizing the complexities of idealizing any individual, we understand that such expectations may sometimes be unrealistic or even unfair.
Nevertheless, it is the spirit of Greta's dedication and commitment that motivates us. Our organization operates independently, guided by our own mission and values, as we address the multifaceted challenges posed by climate change in our distinct manner.
At 1000 Gretas, we believe that climate change is a problem that requires collective responsibility. We are committed to fostering dialogue, finding innovative solutions, and taking concrete actions to combat climate change, all while respecting diverse perspectives and voices within our community.
